Lakers-Nuggets Game One
- Updated: April 29, 2012
This game was exactly what Los Angeles Lakers fans wanted. The Los Angeles Lakers beat the Denver Nuggets 103 to 88 without Metta World Peace who was suspended for that hit in the Oklahoma City Thunder game. The Los Angeles Lakers played a great game lead by Andrew Bynum, Devin Ebanks, Steve Blake, Pau Gasol, and of course Kobe Bryant helped out. The Denver Nuggets are just too young and without a real defined leader to win this series.
Andrew Bynum seems to finally have his head screwed on right and had a triple double game and also died a record for shot blocks in a playoff game. Devin Ebanks and Steve Blake were leading the game for a while with scoring while Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol lead with rebounds and Assists. There were also many great plays by Ramon Sessions who had a few steals and dunks himself.
Kobe Bryant started of slow but ended the game scoring 31 points and an overall great game which is expected from the Black Mamba. If the Los Angeles Lakers play like this throughout the playoffs then they have a legitimate shot at the NBA Title. It would be a very hard road to be sure, but they played very well in their first game. Metta World Peace will be back sometime in the next round depending on how long game one lasts against the Denver Nuggets. Can the Los Angeles Lakers make a deep run into the playoffs? Can they win it all? Will the Black Mamba get number 6?
