Kings vs Blues series wrap up
- Updated: May 6, 2012
Today in an afternoon game between the St. Louis Blues and the Los Angeles Kings, Jonathan Quick posts up another amazing game between the pipes for the kings as he made 23/24 saves in game 4 as the Kings sweep away the 2nd seeded Blues. Dustin Brown scored two goals in this game, and Jordan Nolan added another goal for the LA Kings early in this game. Dustin Brown had another absolutely amazing game in these Stanley Cup playoffs.
So far the Kings have dominated the 1st seed (Vancouver) and the 2nd seed (St Louis). We have yet to know who they will verse in the conference finals but it might not matter as they have only lost 1 game throughout the 1st 2 series. They have done so through great performances from Jonathan Quick (9 games, GAA of 1.55, SP of .949), Dustin Brown (6 goals 5 assists), and Anze Kopitar (3 goals 7 assists).
The Blues did not live up to all the hype of a great regular season posting a record of 49-22-11 with 109 points. Brian Elliot who had an amazing regular season also failed to perform in the 2nd round of the playoffs, he did great in the first series shutting down the San Jose Sharks but just could not contain the Kings.
Who do you think will have to vs the Kings in the Conference Finals?
