Kevin Love will opt out of his deal with the Cleveland Cavs and become a free agent it was reported today by sources that informed ESPN. Love’s career with LeBron James in Cleveland lasted one year. He will leave $16.7 million on the table to become a free agent. It is expected that the Cleveland franchise will try to restructure and re-sign Love later in the summer. Love averaged over 16ppg and ten rebounds for the Cavs.

Local sources here in Oklahoma City have pointed out that the Thunder would like to reunite Love and Russell Westbrook for the 2015-16 season to make a strong run to the NBA Title. Love and Westbrook are fast friends from their days at and after their years at UCLA. Look for Love to take a one year contract wherever he goes as the new salary plan begins next summer. Other possible places for the foward to land include LAL, Dallas and Chicago.
