Current Houston Texan Jadeveon Clowney (who has yet to sign his franchise tag and can be traded) recently met with key members of the Miami Dolphins organization, including head coach Brian Flores.

Clowney is a three-time Pro Bowl defensive end for the Texans and is not happy about his franchise tag designation which is only a one year deal, although it would be fully guaranteed if signed. He is looking for a longer term contract, which is something he and the Texans can’t seem to agree on at the moment. Clowney recently fired his agent as things have not been able to get resolved.

Clowney would be a welcome addition to just about any team, and after meeting with Miami, the Dolphins believe they are favorites to land the defensive lineman, however, many believe that Jadeveon would rather play for a contender rather than a rebuilder such as the Dolphins.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out with less than two weeks until the beginning of the NFL regular season.

Oh yeah. Theres this too.
