Good or Bad move?

Is Bryce Harper going to bring his real bat to the lineup soon?

Since of all the injuries the Nats have they have called up top prospect Bryce Harper from AAA to MLB. This is move didn’t surprise me at all. I knew they would have to because of all of the injuries from Michael Morse, and Jayson Werth just doing straight up bad.

My thoughts on Harper are that he is not going to come into every game and gets a homer, he will probably come in cold. Also he was struggling in AA, and AAA, and now he gets the call to the big club. Now I hope this works out for him because if it doesn’t I don’t know what they will do with him. Also you have to look at it that he is so young they need the veteran in the dugout to get him through what he is about to go through. Also I am not saying he will have a bad year I am just saying he won’t come in hot, he is a great glove in the outfield and should help them out when the others come back from the DL.

“I witnessed him playing the last three games for the Syracuse club,” general manager Mike Rizzo said. “He is swinging the bat extremely well now, and looked very comfortable in left field. With that said, we are not going to vary from our developmental plan for Bryce. I would love for him to get 350 at-bats in the Minor Leagues. As time goes by and Zim is off the disabled list, we’ll monitor the situation, and we’ll make our decision at that time.” That’s what GM of the Nats said, I think they believe in him to produce in the majors and stay there in the future.

My fantasy outlook on Harper. I think you should pick him up in a keeper league, a deep NL only league, and maybe a deep mixed league. I currently own him in about 2 of my 10 leagues, I think he could win by picking him up or lose picking him up. We will just have to watch and see what he can do in the big leagues.
