Draymond Green announces he will return to Warriors

Draymond Green announced Wednesday night that he will be resigning with the NBA champions Golden State Warriors on a five year deal worth $85 million.

“To be in this position, signing back long term with the Warriors is amazing. It’s an organization I love, it’s great being a part of, best fans in the NBA, first class organization.”

Green, 25, had a career year for the Dubs, starting  79 games averaging 11.7 PPG, 8.2 RPG, 3.7 APG, 1.3 BPG, 1.6 SPG and shot 44.3% which is all career highs. Green also finished 2nd in the DPOY voting.

In the playoffs he averaged 13.7 points, 10.1 rebounds and 5.2 assists. Green also brings intensity and hustle which are the anchors to his game. He can play and defend multiple positions, spreading out the floor and hitting the three ball. His worth and value is brought to the Warriors in many different ways.

Drafting him at 35th overall in 2012, the Warriors got a steal.  He has has become one of the most impactful players in the game, blossoming into a force and one the Warriors have to be pleased with through the progress he has made.
