Chris Jericho Has Championship Belt Stolen, Per Police Report.

A police report has surfaced from Scott Keith’s Blog of Doom today that has since had the accuracy confirmed by Fightful’s Sean Sapp.

While eating out last night at Longhorn Steakhouse, brand new AEW Champion and legendary professional wrestler Chris Jericho had a “championship wrestling belt” stolen from him. Whether or not it’s the AEW World Championship that he won this past Saturday at all out isn’t clear, but the Tallahassee Police Department still has the case open and under investigation.

The report reads as followed:

“The victim reported the theft of his championship wrestling belt while he was eating inside Longhorn Steakhouse. The victim stated he arrived at the Millionaire Club Airport Terminal and placed the belt inside his rented limousine. The limo driver shuttled the victim to Longhorn for dinner. The victim remained at Longhorn while the limo driver returned to the airport. The victim had taken the wrong luggage from the airport and the driver took it back to the terminal. When the driver picked up the victim from the restaurant, the belt was missing. Responding officers searched the limo and airport for the belt without success. On-call CID was consulted, and forensics responded to the scene.

Victim: Christopher Irvine, W/M, 11/0/70.”

The fallout is still to be foreseen, but Chris Jericho has an upcoming tour date with his band “Fozzy” in Denver on Thursday, so hopefully it can be resolved before then, and certainly before AEWs TNT debut in October if it is, in fact, the AEW World Championship.

PSE will keep you updated on the situation.
