Chicago magic

The Chicago Cubs have not won a World Series since 1908, that is over a century ago. Still Cubs fans pack Wrigley hoping to one day break that horrific streak. However the streak is still not broken, there is hope to believe that this may be the year, the year that Chicago gets a much deserved World Series. The Cubs beat the Cardinals last night 8-6 and now lead the series 2-1, the Cubs beat the Pirates in the wild card round to get here. The Cubs also made postseason history last night, hitting a record 6 home runs in last night’s game against the NL Central champion Cardinals.  Game four of this series will take place today, at 4:37 pm(Eastern time) in Chicago. The Cubs will have a chance to move onto the NLCS for the first time since 2003. Baseball has had more than a few legendary moments in its history, the Red Sox breaking the curse of the Bambino, Bill Buckner’s famous error, Hank Aaron breaking Ruth’s home run record, will this season be the Cubs turn to be on the right side of history? The Cubs have a remarkable opportunity tonight, at home, against the team who had the most wins in baseball, the Chicago Cubs can advance to the NLCS. So if you’re a neutral fan, think about the history that could be made, the generations of fans that will finally see the payoff of being loyal for over a century, and root for the Cubs. I know that’s what I am doing, let’s go Cubs (except if they face the Mets in the NLCS). One more quick note, if the Cubs win the World Series this year the famous time travel movie, Back to the Future II, will have correctly predicted the Cubs winning the World Series in 2015, crank the DeLorean up to 88 mph and lets go Cubs.
