If you’ve been itching to get your hands on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare – and don’t necessarily feel like waiting for the game’s release later this year – have we got some good news for you.

During today’s Opening Night Live presentation at Gamescom 2019, Geoff Keighley announced that a special open beta for Activision’s upcoming shooter will take place on PlayStation 4 this upcoming weekend. The 2 vs. 2 Gunfight multiplayer alpha will take place starting on August 23, according to producer Dino Verano from Infinity Ward, and players will be able to try out the mode over the course of the few days.

Alas, that means Xbox One and PC owners will be left in the dark for the time being. There will, however, be a September beta that’s on the way. There aren’t any details as to what that beta will bring, but there will likely be another mode introduced that will challenge the players to their very core. For that matter, we could also see cross-platform play introduced, as that will be a revolutionary feature that comes to Call of Duty for the first time in, well, ever.

The beta will open up on August 23 and should last through August 25. As far as the September beta, it starts on September 12 and 13 for those that pre-order the game on PlayStation 4. For the rest of the players, you’ll need to pre-order the game on other platforms, and you’ll have access from September 19 through 20. As for the open beta periods, they’ll be from September 14 through 16 on PlayStation 4, and September 21 through 23 on all platforms.

But, for now, the big one is this weekend. So if you’ve got a PlayStation 4, hop into Gunfight and see what you think before Call of Duty: Modern Warfare hits all platforms on October 25. Are you ready for the (gun)fight of your lives?
