Sam Bradford has a chance to finally play for a team that can give him what he needed from day one when he entered the NFL.   That is, a franchise that can protect him as he leads a team playing in an offensive system to his liking. The former Heisman Trophy winner from Oklahoma re-unites with is former offensive coordinator from St. Louis, Patrick Shurmer, as he comes back from another knee injury suffered last year with the Rams.  That injury costing him another year of his career on the injured list, almost led to the retirement of the quarterback.  In a report by the media today, Bradford mentioned that a call from his college quarterback coach at OU, Josh Heupel, encouraged him to stay the course and rehabilitate the knee and get in shape to play the game he loves.  Bradford has made that commitment and is in the best shape of his life, getting ready for the upcoming season.   Bradford has been selected by Philadelphia Eagles Head Coach Chip Kelly as the Eagles starting signal caller getting him in a trade by giving up Nick Foles in a post-season trade with the Rams. Bradford will also have former Dallas Cowboy DeMarco Murray as one of his primary running backs as the Eagles also picked up that former Sooner when Dallas couldn’t pay the league’s leading rusher in 2014 what he was asking.   Philadelphia is taking the fast tract to either a Divisional Title in 2015 or a complete meltdown that could be a career breaker for all involved, including Coach Kelly. Only time will tell.

Rumors still persist that Kelly is still in the want for Oregon’s Marcus Mariota and can use Bradford as a chip in getting high enough (20th?) in the draft to get the Heisman winner. Many people in the NFL has that believe but Kelly continues to say no, Bradford is our man. It is my take that Kelly wants Mariota but so does others and in the long of it, Bradford will start day one in Philly. Bradford will have his best season of his career and the Eagles will win the East (of the NFC) and be a strong challenger for the Super Bowl in the upcoming season.   Fred Pahlke is a an NBA/NFL/NCCAF/NCAAB analyst and Senior Editor for @prosportsextra Follow him on Twitter @DukeSkadoris and
