It was a hard fought defensive battle on January 13 in Philadelphia, as the Philadelphia Eagles and the Atlanta Falcons faced off on a cold Saturday evening. The Eagles, going 13-3 in the regular season, acquired a first round bye, giving them a two week rest before they faced the Falcons at Lincoln Financial Field coming off a 26-13 win against the Rams the week prior.
The Falcons came up short losing 15-10 against an Eagles team who dominated in time of possession, and defensive stops the entire game. Nick Foles, subbing in for an injured Carson Wentz who tore his ACL in week 14, had a very strong game. Foles completed 23/30 passes for 246 yards against a Falcons defense who has been playing well as of late.
The run heavy Eagles offense rushed for 98 yards as a team, being led by Running Back Jay Ajayi who rushed for 54 yards on 15 carries.

Matt Ryan got the ball back trailing by 5 points with around 6 minutes left in the game, completing a clutch 4th and 6 conversion to Julio Jones that brought them all the way down to the Eagles 38 yard line. Ryan drove his offense all the way down to the 2 yard line.

With a spot in the NFC Championship game on the line, Matt Ryan threw a jump ball to his trusty receiver Julio Jones, who came just inches from grabbing on to the ball in the end zone, depleting the rest of the season for the Atlanta Falcons, who made it to the Super Bowl last season.
