Pittsburgh Steelers star wide receiver Antonio Brown tweeted out a goodbye message to Steeler Nation on Tuesday, thanking them for his nine years with the team.
Brown has officially requested a trade and last month Steelers President Art Rooney publicly stated it could happen, but the team has yet to oblige. Brown’s message on social media would seem to indicate that he’s ready for a fresh start and has no intention of reconciling with the Steelers.
His season with the team came to a dramatic end, after the Steelers went 2-4 in their final six games and missed the playoffs in a monumental collapse. Brown was benched in the final week for missing practice and there were numerous reports of Kardashian-like drama involving Brown and Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, among others.
Brown finished the 2018 season with 1,297 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns.
