Well, here’s a twist of irony.
University of Alabama football head coach Nick Saban invited disgraced and former NFL Super Bowl Champion running back Ray Rice on how to treat women nicely and properly.
Just to refresh your memory, Rice was arrested for domestic violence after he assaulted his now-wife, Janay Palmer, in an elevator back in February 2014.
Since he lost his career in the NFL, Rice has spent most of his time around the United States talking to young people regarding domestic violence and having to find ways to manage anger.
Saban commented on the situation, saying he thinks most players can relate to his issues.
Saban also went on record saying that hearing from Rice would be a great way to teach his players the value of healthy relationships outside of football.
“And I think that’s important to relationships. It’s important as a person to be able to do those things in a very respectful manner,” Saban said on Rice via SI.com.
Um, okay then.
