Reports suggest that the new deal is worth just under $45 million per year; coming around to $882,300 per episode. TNT holds a fifth-year option.
TNT is also taking over AEW Dark, which airs weekly on YouTube. Turner President Kevin Reilly has stated that a weeknight for Dark as not been chosen, and the show may be renamed, rebranded and will be televised weekly but there is a possibility that it won’t 52 weeks per year.
This is exciting news for AEW and fans that have enjoyed the product since its October 2019 debut. Being able to secure a three year extension less than four months is a big vote of confidence from TNT.
