Every so often, a prospect comes around that can alter a franchise. Today, we will be talking about current Brandon Wheat Kings forward Richard Nejezchleb. Nejezchleb is a 20 year old Right Wing from the Czech Republic.

Standing at 6’2, 209 lbs, Nejezchleb has improved in each of his last few seasons while playing for the Wheat Kings. He has also seen his games played increase each season, moving up from 24 in Slavia Jr. to 35 in 2012-2013(injury cut his season short) to 66 in 2013-2014. Viewed as a solid two-way forward, Nejezchleb was able to accumulate a +/- of +24 during the 2012-2013 season. His large frame and ability to stand in front of the net make him a viable asset. Playing on what was a very young team in Brandon, Nehezchleb played heavy minutes.

Most of Nejezchled’s goals were scored just a few feet from the opponents goal. With underrated hands, good skating ability, and finishing ability, he was able to accumulate 32 goals in 66 game. With not much experience due to injury, but a load of talent, Nejezchleb would be an ideal middle to late round prospect that with time, can develop into a talented NHL player. I project Nejezchleb to be a 4th round pick with high scoring upside.
