This is the beginning of a new segment where I will be creating top ten list per position in the MLB weekly. Today I would like to start off with first basemen and then work from there. This is not just for the 2013 performance but from their entire career with the objective of creating the top ten first basemen going in to the 2014 season. There will be controversy and I respect any objective opinions you have on the subject, this is a fun thing to do and I hope my audience can share with me their perspective. Before begin I would like to say that since Miguel Cabrera and Joe Mauer will officially be playing first base next season that they will be included on this list and another thing only defensive numbers at first base will be listed what they did defensively at another position is irrelevant when compiling a top ten list of first basemen, so now that we got that out of the way let’s begin.
