Pro Sports Extra’s Week 12 NFL Power Rankings

1. Seattle Seahawks (10-1)

Best all-around team in the NFL. Showing week in and week out just how talented they are on both sides. Percy Harvin being back is a major boost to the offense and special teams.

2. Denver Broncos (9-1)

Coming off of a huge win against KC, showing their underrated defense and once again the best all-around offense.

3. New Orleans Saints (8-2)

Defense is improving week by week, but offense can carry the load. Drew Brees is one of the best leaders in the NFL.

4. Kansas City Chiefs (9-1)

Tough loss to Denver, but hung with the Broncos on the road and showed that they could play with Peyton Manning. Offense must improve.

5. Carolina Panthers (7-3)

Cam Newton and the Panthers are the hottest team in football right now. Elite defense with great offense and you get a championship contender.

6. Indianapolis Colts (7-3)

The Colts were able to pull out a close 30-27 against the Titans, but they have beaten the Broncos, Seahawks, and 49ers this year. Andrew Luck and company need to become more consistent, but they are a top team in the NFL.

7. New England Patriots (7-3)

New England lost the Panthers in a crazy Monday night showdown. They are still a favorite in the AFC, but have a couple things to figure in the coming week.

8. Cincinnati Bengals (7-4)

Convincing victory over Cleveland this week, but the offense must improve its consistency.

9. Chicago Bears (6-4)

Injuries have been tough, but they’re finding ways to win football games. Defense is great, and offense is very good even with McCown.

10. San Francisco 49ers (6-4)

They need to prove that they can beat elite teams to be elite. Kaepernick must be allowed to play his game. If not, it could be a disappointing year.

11. Arizona Cardinals (6-4)

Surprise at #11, but their defense is very good and the offense is up and down but can put up numbers as we saw this week.

12. Philadelphia Eagles (6-5)

Philly’s offense has looked great under Nick Foles, but the defense must continue to step up in big games and find ways to win.

13. Dallas Cowboys (5-5)

Coming off a bye week, the Cowboys have had a chance to get healthy. They’re re-focused and ready to compete with the Eagles in the NFC East.

14. Detroit Lions (6-4)

Defense faltered this week against the Steelers, but their high-powered offense will help them compete the rest of the season.

15. Green Bay Packers (5-5)

Rodgers has to come back in the next two weeks if they want a chance to make the playoffs. Tolzien just doesn’t have it. Defense is still solid, especially with Matthews back.

16. New York Jets (5-5)

The Jets were roughed up a bit against the Bills this weekend, but they still sit at 5-5 and have a playoff chance. Geno Smith needs to get things together.

17. Miami Dolphins (5-5)

Up-and-down season but they do have a good offense when they run the football with Lamar Miller. Defense needs to play consistently as well.

18. New York Giants (4-6)

The Giants are catching fire late in the season as usual. Eli Manning is back to his old self and the defense is stepping up.

19. Baltimore Ravens (4-6)

Joe Flacco has been up and down this season and so have the Ravens. Ray Rice is beginning to play well, and the defense is solid as usual.

20. Pittsburgh Steelers (4-6)

The Steelers may have found their offense this past week against the Lions. Roethlisberger played well, but it’s up to the aging defense to step up late in the season.

21. Buffalo Bills (4-7)

Rookie quarterback E.J. Manuel is coming off a huge game, and the Bills run game was poor at best. The defense stepped up and forced turnovers against Geno Smith. They are young but improving.

22. Oakland Raiders (4-6)

Matt McGloin came up with a big week and is forcing a quarterback controversy in Oakland. Coming off their win against Houston, they have to string together a couple wins to have any chance this season.

23. San Diego Chargers (4-6)

Inconsistency is the definition of the Chargers’ season. They are coming off a disappointing loss to the Dolphins this week and are in a bad place as far as playoff hopes go.

24. Cleveland Browns (4-6)

The Browns got demolished by their AFC North rival Bengals this past week. They have won a couple big games, but overall have been inconsistent as well.

25. St. Louis Rams (4-6)

St. Louis is coming off of a bye week but are fresh of their 38-8 win over the Colts. It will be interesting to see if they can get their season back on track in the coming weeks.

26. Tennessee Titans (4-6)

The loss of Jake Locker has killed the Titans this season. Unless they are able to pull together as a team and begin winning football games, this season is lost for them.

27. Washington Redskins (3-7)

RGIII is beginning to look like his old self, but they are extremely inconsistent. They lost to the Eagles this past week and their playoff hopes are practically over.

28. Houston Texans (2-8)

There is a lot of drama in Houston following this weeks loss to the Raiders. Andre Johnson isn’t happy anymore and Gary Kubiak is on the hot seat as well.

29. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-8)

Tampa Bay pummeled the the Falcons this week for their second win of the season. Bobby Rainey looked great, but this is all about their young players getting experience for the rest of the season.

30. Minnesota Vikings (2-8)

The lack of a true quarterback in Minnesota has been their downfall, but the defense hasn’t helped either. Very disappointing year for the Vikings.

31. Atlanta Falcons (2-8)

The injuries to Roddy White and Julio Jones have been brutal for the Falcons, but that can’t be totally to blame for the bad season. What a disappointment for Atlanta.

32. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-9)

Jacksonville lost yet again this weekend and there is no hope left for the Jaguars this season.
