The point guard position is easily the deepest position in the NBA. There are around 15 point guards who you could argue for a top-10 spot. Here are my top 10 point guards:
Damian Lillard- The explosive rook averaged 19 points and 6.5 assists in 38.6 minutes a game for the Portland Trail Blazers in the 2012-2013 season. With an improved bench after free agency, look for even higher assist numbers for Lillard this season.
Greivis Vasquez- The most underrated passer in the game. He averaged 9 assists a game on a Hornets team that had very little talent around him. Unfortunately, he was traded to the Kings, who lost Tyreke Evans, and Vasquez will not be able to flourish this season as there’s still no talent around him in Sac-town.
Mike Conley- He’s emerged as one of the top defensive point guards in the league, averaging 2.2 steals a game last season along with 15 points and 6 assists. He emerged as a star in the playoffs, averaging 16 points and 7 assists a game leading the Grizzlies to the Western Conference Finals.
