Red Wings In Trade Talks With Anaheim For Bobby Ryan

A source close in the Red Wings organization told me the Red Wings are in trade talks with Anaheim for Bobby Ryan. The Ducks gave big contracts to Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf both players will make together 17M and cannot afford to pay the skilled forward with contracts being soon to be renewed with Jonas Hiller and or Victor Fasth, Daniel Winnik and Andrew Cogliono the money is spent so Bobby Ryan most likely will be on the move. Ken Holland Red Wings GM has been talking with Anaheim since the Red Wings got eliminated against the Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks, the source close said a deal is likely to happen this weekend with the NHL Draft coming up Anaheim would love a couple of mid round picks in a deep draft the Ducks are asking for Thomas Tatar, 2nd and 3rd round picks and Adam Almquist or Brian Lashoff.

Anaheim is looking to clear cap space and Bobby Ryan is a young NHL player they don’t want to get rid of but financially cannot afford to keep Bobby Ryan, Detroit and Anaheim talked in February for Corey Perry but Anaheim said No and gave him a contract with Detroit having a young team and keeping Pavel Datsyuk the Wings look to reload they’re arsenal Detroit is going hard for Bobby Ryan because of talks with Carolina for their fifth pick Kenny Holland is looking to contend for a Stanley Cup Championship if this indeed does go down, Holland a winner of three Stanley Cups as GM of the Red Wings looks to put a stamp on an off seasons in Detroit that have been disappointing make a great off season in Detroit

Bobby Ryan a 26 year old from Cherry Hill, New Jersey last year had 11 goals, 19 assists and 30 points in 46 games played could be on the move if Detroit lands the skilled forward they will be contenders with the goal of bringing the Cup back to Hockeytown.
