Wrigley Field, almost 100 years old, has lately had some new additions, such as LED scoreboards and a rooftop patio. Now they are deciding to go ‘all out’ announcing that they will start a $300 million renovation in 2013.
â€śThe fact is that when you look at all of the limitations that we have, whether thatâ€™s signage in the outfield, which we are not allowed to do, or what kind of stuff we do in the park or around the park, I think weâ€™d just like a little more flexibility to have some options on that stuff,â€ť Ricketts told the media after a question-and-answer session with fans at the Cubs Convention.
The Cubs are considering opening advertisements in the field to help pay for some of the cost, and they would also like some help from the city itself.
