Knowshon Moreno Making a Mile High Statement.

Four years ago Knowshon Moreno was the best back in the draft when the Broncos selected him 12th overall, but injuries have kept him from producing. He had a nice rookie season with the Broncos, rushing for 947 yards and seven touchdowns while also compiling another 213 yards receiving and two touchdowns. Knowshon Moreno was looking like a bust. He has shown flashes of how good he can be, but injuries have slowed him down. Last year, he was the starter and got hurt against Kansas City which opened the door for Willis McGahee. Willis McGahee made the most of the situation rushing for 1,199 yards last year with the Broncos, helping them reach the postseason and helping the Broncos to the number one rushing attack in the NFL, helped also by Tim Tebow’s ability to run.
Fast forward a year now with McGahee injury against Kansas City. This season the reins of Denver’s running attack is on the fourth year pro out of Georgia. Knowshon Moreno has had back to back 100 yard games for the Broncos rushing for 119 yards and a touchdown against Oakland in a 26-13 win in the black hole and a very impressive 118 and a touchdown against the Baltimore Ravens in a 34-17. The Score wasn’t as close as the final score indicated. The Broncos have a stable of backs: Jacob Hester who recently signed, Lance Ball, and Ronnie Hillman. Knowshon Moreno has very well cemented his place as the starter in Denver. He is a better play maker than the other backs. He can really continue to flourish with Peyton Manning at the helm he is a receiving threat out the backfield. The Broncos are locked into the three seed for now. With a Patriots loss, the Broncos could be the two seed. If he can continue to create a balanced attack the Denver Broncos may just be heading to New Orleans this February trying to capture their third Super Bowl Title. Knowshon is making a claim that he wants to remain in Denver with the Broncos and prove he wasn’t a bust. Slowly he is shaking off that stigma of being a bust.
