Montel Harris Transfers
Montel Harris, a 5′ 10 207 pound running back, has transfered from Boston College University to the University of Temple. Montel is taking a course at Temple that he can not take at Boston College. Therefore, that gives him one more year elegibilaty to play college football.
In 2010, he surpassed 1,243 rushing yards before his season ending injury. He holds the record at Boston College for rushing before being dismissed. In the 2011 preseason, he was the ACC offensive player of the year. His last season at BC, he played three games.
Despite playing the first three games of the 2011 season,Coach Frank kicked him off the Eages for repeated violations of team rules. Harris takes over for current NFL running back (Benard Pierce) after getting drafted by the Baltimore Ravens. Pierce rushed for 1,281 yards with 27 touchdowns. Montel Harris hopes to take Pierce’s role and play like he did.
There was a thought that Montel Harris would transfer to Temple after his dismissal from Boston College’s football team in May.
The running back, who recently graduated from B.C., has one season of eligibility remaining. The Eagles’ all-time leading rusher can play anywhere he likes immediately, assuming he takes graduate courses not offered at B.C.
