Miami Heat headed to the NBA Finals for the second time in two years, beating the Boston Celtics in game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals 101-88; pulling away late, led by the big 3, LeBron James finished with 31 points 12 rebounds. His game seven performance will go down as one of the most memorable moments of all time as he also stepped up late and finished the game with great. Dwayne Wade who finished with 23 points 6 rebounds and 6 assists, kept them in the game early, and helped them finish late. Chris Bosh who finished with 19 pts, 8 rebs, and 1 block, also had three unbelievable three 3-point shots, keeping the defense honest and opening the lane up for his teammates. Even Shane Battier had a good game with all his points coming on four 3 point shots.
Wade, Bosh and LeBron scored Miami’s last 31 points, but the Celtics didn’t just lay down. There was 20+ lead changes in the game Rondo and company came to play leading at the half by 6 and there were six lead changes and five more ties in the final 7 minutes of the third. Bosh scored with 29 seconds left for the last of those ties, and it was 73-all going into the fourth, ending in a very emotional loss for the Celtics, who may never be together again.
Boston took out its starters with 28.3 seconds left. By then, workers already had a rope around the perimeter of the court, preparing for the East trophy to be presented. LeBron  James and the Miami Heat will take on the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Finals starting Tuesday. This series should be an epic one, with two of the best Small Forwards in the NBA going at (LeBron James and Kevin Durant) it. The Thunder and Heat played twice in the regular season with each team winning on their home court. In my opinion, tonight Chris Bosh was the MVP, he was making plays everywhere.
But can they down the younger more athletic Thunder? Comment below!
